New Era - Environment
The Page Center campus includes 56 acres of woodlands with 810 ft
of lakeshore on Little Lake in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This
combination of water, land, woods, water, sounds, smells and silence
is a renewing place.
Stewardship of the Page Center includes nurturing, nourishing and
respecting this ecosystem.
Woodland/Forest . . . . Lakeshore woods of oak and
red pine sprinkled with birch, balsam and cedar; great scents and
naturally occurring bird life.
Kettle Lake. . . Sand bottom lake formed by a retreating
glacier.
Bog Walk . . . Surrounding the Kettle Lake is a pristine
bog with carnivorous plants including Sundew, Pitchplant and classic
Sphagnum moss and bog life.
Nature Trails . . . Quiet scenic places
to walk and enjoy the dune ecology of the Upper Peninsula.
